Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery. We will teach you how to take a broken plate (provided) and bring it new life and beauty! Because we will be working with tools, potentially sharp pieces of ceramic and a lacquer chemical, participation will require a signed waiver.
please note, due to time constraints, we will use modern adhesives as well as traditional urushi lacquer - which means the finished plate is not going to be food safe.
Hosted by Graymist Studio & Shop, we’re excited to invite you to join our new Facebook group and help us build a vibrant and friendly community! This is a space where artisans, enthusiasts, and admirers of Nantucket baskets come together to celebrate their tradition, culture, history, and craftsmanship. Together, we can showcase our work, share ideas, collaborate, and create a welcoming community for everyone who loves Nantucket baskets.
