Faraway Islands: Lightship Basket Making on Nantucket & Japan

The Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum is holding a very special exhibition this summer. The exhibit is called Faraway Islands: Lightship Basket Making on Nantucket & Japan, and is running from Memorial Day weekend to Columbus Day. The exhibit features artists from Nantucket and Japan that are making Lightship baskets. We are honored that work from some of our students and instructors has been chosen for the exhibit.

It's definitely worth a trip to the island to see the exhibit and vacation for a few days!

More information available on The Nantucket Lightship Basket Museum's website.

In return for their investment, members receive a bouquet of fresh picked flowers, greens, and other interesting cuttings grown out in Templeton, Massachusetts. Shares will be available for pick up in the store on Thursdays during the growing season from noon to 6PM.

Start date is dependent on weather, each member will be notified via email when pick up will start. There are 4 week, 8 week, and 12 week shares available, please choose according to your desires. Flowers will be arranged and wrapped for easy transport. When you arrive at home, or the office, please fill a clean vase with water, unwrap the bouquet and trim the stems, then place your flowers in the vase for an instant arrangement.
